Fought to Improve Our Schools: Jon has led the fight to make sound investments in Russell County schools. He passed funding for a major double digit raise for educators and staff and reinstatement of the 25th and 35th payscale steps that will help to secure the future of Russell County teachers. He has supported funding requests for capital programs to keep our schools in good working condition. (EDUCATION)

Made Sure Our Government Worked For You: Jon has led efforts to make our county government more efficient. He has proposed the combining of the County PSAs to save money and provide more cost effective services. He has proposed several consolidations of county and third-party contractual services to reduce total expenses to the citizens of Russell County and save money. Worked to Create Better Jobs: As a private business owner, Jon has increased his workforce and payroll in order to hire and train many local people for careers in the energy industry. As your Supervisor, he has worked hand in hand with some of our major employers to expand their workforce. He has showcased the advantages of hiring SWVA workers and used our agricultural and industrial products throughout the Commonwealth, region and even internationally. Continued to Invest in our Communities: Jon has personally invested hundreds of thousands of dollars directly into community programs and school systems.
