EMATS, Inc.  Sets The Standard For Safety, Reaches Five Million Consecutive Man Hours Without A Lost Time Accident

CEDAR BLUFF, Virginia (April 10, 2010) – On March 25, 2010 EMATS set the standard for safety by reaching five million man hours without a lost time accident. It takes a combination of training, teamwork, quality, and good work practices to set the standards of safety excellence that EMATS has attained.

Safety is at the core of all EMATS operations. Employees are trained to know the hazards to which they are exposed, and to protect themselves accordingly. Each project puts safety at the forefront.

EMATS President and CEO Jon Bowerbank marked the occasion by saying, “We started this walk in July of 2003. Seven years, eight months, and a multitude of successful projects later, we have established who we are when it comes to safety. It is a part of our lifestyle here at EMATS and we want to congratulate everyone who has helped set this outstanding record of achievement.”
